WHY DO I NEED A COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH?
The cooling system must maintain the engine within the proper temperature range, regardless of the outside temperature. If the engine temperature is too low, fuel economy will suffer and emissions will rise. If the temperature is allowed to get too hot it can severely damage or ruin the engine and transmission.
Over time coolant breaks down, changing its chemical base composition to an acid. This causes the coolant to eat away at internal engine parts, seals, hoses, and gaskets. The resulting buildup of rust, scale and sludge blocks passageways and decreases the efficiency of the cooling systems which causes premature engine failure. You can protect your vehicle by having cooling system flushed regularly. Cooling system flushes are recommended every 18 months or 30,000 miles.
COOLING SYSTEM FAILURES ARE THE LEADING CAUSE OF ON-THE-ROAD MECHANICAL BREAKDOWNS! WHAT DOES A COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH INCLUDE? 1. The cooling system is visually inspected to identify any leaks or hoses with cracks, bulging or oil contamination. 2. A flush chemical is introduced into the system to break loose and/or dissolve sludge and blockages. 3. The system is run long enough to open the thermostat and allow the flush to circulate fully throughout out the cooling system 4. The coolant system flush machine is connected and run which forcefully removes the old contaminated fluid and puts in fresh new coolant.
The C-VAC3 Coolant Service Machine's flush process replaces virtually 100% of engine coolant.
